Terms and Conditons

Effective from 1 July 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms


These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Save Buy Local Program, operated by Save Buy Local Limited (“Save Buy Local,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website, registering as a business partner or fundraising group, or otherwise engaging with the program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website and take effect immediately upon posting.

1. Eligibility and Participation


Fundraising Group Eligibility


Eligible fundraising partners include:


● Schools and kindergartens (including PTAs, school events, sports, teams, trips)
● Youth groups (Scouts, clubs, after-school programs)
● Sports clubs and teams (e.g., rugby, netball, football, swimming)
● Community organisations (e.g., libraries, playcentres)
● Registered charities, non-profits, and other social causes


If you are unsure whether your group qualifies, please contact us. We strive to support a diverse range of community-driven initiatives.


Note: We do not accept groups that engage in or promote discrimination based on race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, political belief, age, or disability.


Business Partner Eligibility


To participate as a business partner, your business must:


● Be based in Ohaupo, Te Awamutu, Pirongia, or Kihikihi.
● Offer a discount or benefit to cardholders as part of the program.
● Enter into a signed agreement with Save Buy Local.
● Ensure all submitted promotional information is accurate and updated.

By enrolling your business, you confirm you have the authority to act on behalf of your organisation.


3. Program Overview


● Fundraising groups purchase Save Buy Local Cards at a wholesale rate of $20 NZD per card.
● Cards are resold at $30 NZD per card, generating a $10 NZD profit per sale for the fundraising group.
● Businesses offering discounts will be listed on the Save Buy Local website and promoted to participating groups and their supporters.

4. Availability and Program Changes


All offers, cards, and associated promotions are subject to availability. We reserve the right to:


● Modify participating businesses or offers.
● Change the card design or included promotions.
● Adjust program terms with reasonable notice posted on our website.


5. Ordering, Delivery, and Fulfilment


Ordering Process:


1. Fundraising groups confirm the number of cards they wish to purchase.
2. Payment of $20 per card is made via bank transfer to Save Buy Local’s ANZ account.
3. Upon confirmation of payment, cards are dispatched to the delivery address provided at registration.

A minimum of 15 cards must be sold to qualify for participation.


Delivery:


● Delivery is available throughout New Zealand.
● While we strive to deliver promptly, processing times may vary due to demand and location.
● It is the responsibility of the fundraising group to ensure delivery details are correct.


6. Pricing and Payment


● All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST, unless otherwise stated.
● Payment is accepted via bank transfer only.
● Save Buy Local will confirm receipt of payment before dispatching cards.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations


● No refunds are provided for fundraising purchases once payment is confirmed.
● Business partners may request updates to their listings, but withdrawal from the program after agreement may not entitle them to a refund or fee waiver.
● If Save Buy Local cancels or discontinues the program, any prepaid funds for undelivered cards will be refunded.


8. Responsibilities of Fundraising Groups


Fundraising groups must:


● Promote the cards responsibly and in accordance with relevant laws.
● Accurately represent the card’s benefits.
● Use funds raised solely for the intended cause disclosed at registration.


9. Responsibilities of Business Partners


Business partners must:


● Honour the discount or offer listed on the website for the valid duration of the program.
● Notify Save Buy Local of any changes to business status, location, or over details.

10. Liability


● To the extent permitted by law, Save Buy Local is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the program or website.
● Our liability is limited to the value of the card or service purchased.

● Participation as a business or fundraising partner may limit applicability of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

11. Privacy and Data Use


We collect and store participant information for program administration only.
Your data is:


● Used to process orders, verify eligibility, and manage communication.
● Not shared with third parties unless required by law.
● Protected under our Privacy Policy (link to be inserted).


You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.


12. Website Use


You agree not to:


● Use the Save Buy Local website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
● Copy, misuse, or misrepresent content or card offers.
● Attempt to disrupt the website or bypass security measures. Use of our site may require cookies for functionality.


13. General Terms


● We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
● If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining terms remain valid.
● These terms are for participants only and do not create third-party rights.


14. Governing Law


These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes will be handled
in the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
